Hands‑On Workshops for Parents carers & interested grown ups.

If you’ve ever wished someone would sit down and show you how to braid properly, you’re not alone.  Our small‑group workshops are designed for parents, guardians and carers who want to learn practical braiding skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.

 

What You’ll Learn:

 

Foundations: Basics of plaiting, hand positioning and parting techniques.

Styles: French braids, Dutch braids and simple variations you can recreate at home.

Care tips: How to protect different hair types, choose products and maintain braids.

Practice: Hands‑on work with mannequin heads before trying on your child’s hair, ensuring you build confidence .

 

Editions

• Classic Beginners Edition: Mixed‑group sessions open to all interested adults.

Dad Edition: Welcoming spaces for dads and male carers to learn, connect and build confidence .

Private & Group Sessions: Host your own workshop at home with friends, great for baby showers or mum meetups.

•Format:

Our workshops last two hours, are fully insured and ran by a DBS‑checked instructor, include all tools and materials.  Prices start at £35–£50 per person depending on the workshop.

Spaces are limited to keep sessions intimate.

Our workshops extend beyond the classroom and into the community.  We partner with PTAs, youth organisations, foster carer groups and community hubs to deliver engaging sessions that promote skill‑building, cultural appreciation and confidence.

• Community Fundraisers: We set up a braiding station at your fundraiser, charge per customer and donate a percentage of takings to the cause .

• Sports Teams & Clubs: Team braiding sessions ensure athletes look and feel their best at competitions .

• Pamper & Sleepover Parties: Perfect for community hubs or youth centres; includes mermaid braids, coloured extensions and glitter .

• Cultural Celebrations: Special workshops for events like Black History Month that blend education with heritage.
